Turkish Egg

Throw back to last week when I had my very first Turkish eggs with my beloved girl @fabiconfeiteira at @epocaporto, and it was mind-blowing!! I have been hearing so much compliments about Turkish eggs at Época and when I finally got a chance to try, I knew it was the right decision ☺.

The thing I remembered most was the contrast in taste in the very first bite, which was so awakening. The acidity and saltiness in the yogurt, balance perfectly with the fatty yolks. And the aroma of dill and my all time favorite chilli oil just made everything pfffflefhsjiwbd (you know when you have chills and you can’t say a word).

So today for my day off brunch, I decided to try making it myself by memories and see how it’s like. I used soya yogurt and it tastes not bad, but definitely doesn’t create a sharp contrast like greek yogurt. Instead of having with sourdough bread, I went a bit more glutenfree by having with corn-ed pleurotus from yesterday 😂. To make my meals more refreshing I added a fresh tomato salad and some cherries from Fundão.

If you are visiting Porto, I highly recommend Época! Warm cozy place run by people who know and believe in what they do!
